ABOUT
Dr. Leslie
For more than 25 years Leslie Roman, Ph.D., has been helping people struggling with depression and other debilitating emotional conditions to imagine a future full of hope.
With the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic, the need has never been greater.
The devastation wrought by this invisible contagion manifests in many ways. Not the least of these is the fear, trauma and hopelessness experienced through the death of a loved one, job loss, financial insecurity and the depression and sense of isolation for the many who remain confined to their homes, often separated from family members.
To meet this pivotal moment, Dr. Leslie’s clinical psychology practice focuses on brief solution-focused therapy, group therapy, and eclectic approaches to meeting goals in the treatment plan.
She also developed alternative therapies in Covid Enlightened Coping. These therapies are practiced in conjunction with her standard clinical practice.
The core of these new therapies is the art of meditation, which can help patients to:
- Obtain a new outlook on stressful experiences
- Develop ways to manage stress
- Improve self-awareness
- Project positive imagery
- Concentrate on the present
- Decrease negative thoughts
- Expand imagination and creativity
- Improve patience and tolerance
Under Dr. Leslie’s guidance, patients can learn to experience improved mental health through reduced stress, anxiety and a soothing sense of peace and wellness.
She also is a skilled practitioner of Reiki, a healing art of more recent vintage that originated in Japan and is growing in popularity around the world.
