About the Program

Since 1995, Epiphany Center’s In-Home Parenting Education and Support Program has provided home-based parenting skills instruction, advocacy, and case management services for families with children ages 0-5 who are at risk for out of home placement.  Our primary goal is to enhance the bond between parents and their children and strengthen family functioning.

SafeCare®

Utilizing SafeCare®, an evidence-based parenting education model, program staff go into the homes of families and teach parents to create safe, healthy, and loving environments in which their children can thrive.   Parents are taught how to provide engaging and stimulating activities and prevent troublesome child behavior.  They learn to use health reference materials that help them determine the best course of action if a child is sick or injured, and to identify and eliminate household hazards to maintain a safe and healthy environment.
